Welcome to the PTFA Page!
The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association is a registered charity which aims to raise funds for the benefit of the school and the children by organising events such as Christmas and Summer Fairs, quizzes, discos, and the ‘100’ club.
A newsletter is sent out every term to make sure that everyone is aware of forthcoming events.
The PTFA is run by a committee elected in September at our Annual General Meeting. It is made up of parents/friends of children attending the school, Miss Fitzpatrick, Headteacher and two teacher representatives. We have 16 members of the committee at the moment.
As a parent of a child in the school, you are automatically a member of the Association, and, as such, you are welcome to attend PTFA meetings which are held approximately once a term. You do not have to be a member of the committee to attend the meetings.
Funds raised over the last few years have contributed towards the ‘Trim Trail’ adventure area, a Smartboard, a data projector, an outside play area for the Foundation Stage, school trips and annual visits by the Life Education Centre and Storybox theatre. None of this would have been possible without the support of parents, teachers and friends who have helped out with PTFA events.
We couldn’t raise the amount of money that we do without the contribution of everyone at the school, parents, staff and children alike. Please see one of your class representatives if you are able to help out at any events, even if it is only for an hour. We need Class Representatives, people who liaise between the PTFA and parents in each year group. A Year Rep is also responsible for helping to get volunteers in each year group to support events and also helps to promote forthcoming events etc.
