We went on our Autumn walk today. We had fun playing and jumping in the leaves.
Today we voted for our school council members. We listened to their speeches and then everyone had a vote.
Drawing Day.... we have had great fun creating different lines and drawing pictures.
We have been using a Paint program on the laptop to create some lovely pictures.
Cloud spotting..... In Science we have been learning about different types of clouds. We have looked at cirrus, cumulus and stratus clouds. We went outside and noticed that today there was stratus clouds in the sky.
In Science we have been learning about why we have seasons. We learnt that the Earth tilts and moves around the sun. We used a 'sun', a globe, and a torch to help us to see this.
Our fantastic paper sculpture. Miss Angus was impressed with our team work.
NO PENS WEDNESDAY. We had great fun learning without using pens today. We played phonics games inside and out, learnt how to record data and finished creating our paper sculpture.
We have been making our own algorithms for the Beebots.
Computing. We have been learning about what an algorithm is. We have been exploring how a Beebot works.
We had a letter from Little Red Riding Hood asking for our help. She wants to take Grandma on holiday and asked us to find out about a hot and cold country. Today we looked at Brazil and tasted some tropical fruit.
In art we have been looking at the sculptures by Su Blackwell. We are starting to make our own sculpture out of cardboard and paper.
Marvelous maths. We have looking at numbers and matching the words with the numbers.
Magical Music. We have been learning about Old School Hip Hop and learning to play the glockenspiel.
In Computing we have been looking at programmable toys. We looked at robots, toy washing machines, remote controlled cars and a phone. We discussed how we have to press or turn on the button for it to work.
In Science we have been learning about Seasons and talking about Autumn.
All our wonderful Fairy Tale work we have created at home. Miss Angus was super impressed.
