Health Week got off to a great start with wake and shake with the parents from Green Class. We then visited Harold on the Life Bus. He taught us about the safer use of medicines and we thought about the people we could talk to if we were feeling worried or upset about something. This week in P.E. we were developing our hockey skills and it was tricky to dribble the ball through the gates.
On Wednesday we had “sponsored wheels” to raise money for the school. After lunch Mr Plaster helped us to develop our football skills by playing fun and exciting games. We were very tired at the end of the day!
Thursday got off to an energetic start with Zumba. Mrs Clarke was very impressed with our dancing. We then had an early lunch before setting off to Waitrose. At Waitrose we learnt how to make a rainbow salad. Everybody had to concentrate hard because we learnt how to chop vegetables – we all returned to school with all of our fingers! We were given some vegetables and they were made into a delicious healthy soup that we drank on Friday. Mrs Smith talked to us about the dangers of medicines, household products, berries, mushrooms and needles so that we can stay safe.
