Our first week back after the holiday was certainly busy but very enjoyable. The week started with a visit from Harold in the Life Bus. Pete, the educator, was impressed with how much Purple Class had remembered from his previous visits. This time we learnt some interesting facts about our bodies and discussed how we could deal with some of our feelings. Later in the day we had another visit from Fire-fighter Shirley who reminded us how to stay safe at bonfire parties. On Tuesday we began the day with a vigorous Wake and Shake session. Thank you to all the adults who were able to join us for this. On Wednesday Mr Plaster kindly came into school to help develop our football skills. Everyone enjoyed his session so much we didn't want it to end. Later on we went outside again to do our part for the sponsored wheels event - it was great fun and we would like to say thank you to everyone who sponsored us. On Thursday a very excited Purple Class went to Waitrose for a session in their cookery demonstration workshop. We worked hard and concentrated carefully whilst cutting up the ingredients. The ladies from Waitrose were really kind and helpful and sent us back to school with a bag of vegetables which we turned into delicious vegetable soup the next day. Later in the day on Thursday we joined Mrs Clarke in the hall for an active Zumba session when we all moved to some great music. Our final visitor on Friday was Mrs Smith who talked to us about how to stay safe by being aware of a variety of things including medicines. She had interesting things to say and really made us aware of some of the hazards in our homes. We all enjoyed the week even though it was tiring!
